Marketing Specialist/Full Time

Hertrich Family of Automobile Dealerships seeks a Marketing Specialist to join our Marketing Team!

As a Marketing Specialist you are the go-to marketing contact for stores in an assigned region of our dealership group.  You will develop and maintain a working-level understanding of the automotive industry, company culture, products, services, strategic communication planning and integrated marketing strategies. You are highly organized, task and detail-oriented, motivated, articulate, flexible, and capable of working under pressure. You are driven to provide the highest level of customer service. Marketing Specialist DUTIES include but are not limited to:

  • Facilitate the coordination and execution of fully integrated retail and fixed operations marketing campaigns for the assigned region; both Traditional and Digital

  • Contribute to the planning and development of store marketing campaigns for region

  • With guidance of Digital Marketing Manager: implements, maintains, measures and evaluates digital marketing strategy including SEO, SEM and associated programs to ensure effective execution online marketing strategies

  • Takes ownership of store content for websites. Oversees store specific social media including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, etc. with consistent brand messaging and department goals in mind. Ensures content is updated at regular intervals and maintained accurately.

  • Manages merchandising efforts.  Tracks and measures standards; coordinating on a store level regularly

  • Tracks and assists in reputation management; assisting on a store level when necessary

  • Tracks competition's messaging to ensure our messaging continues to hold competitive advantage through evaluation of competitor's media and digital presence

  • Assists in the planning, coordination and execution of events and charitable giving for the region

  • Understands manufacturer Co-op funds for assigned stores and assists with pulling coop budget data.

  • Develop an understanding of Automotive Advertising Rules & Regulations (Legal) by State/Region and Manufacturer Advertising Compliance Guidelines

  • Attends store & internal meetings as deemed appropriate by Marketing Manager.

Marketing Specialist Requirements:

  • BA Degree with 2+ years of Digital Media, Marketing and Communications experience

  • Extremely organized, task and detailed-oriented Must be a critical thinker 

  • Demonstrated ability to proactively take ownership of projects with ability to establish priorities and objectives 

  • Must be able to work under pressure, meet deadlines and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Must be a team player and be able to interact and communicate clearly with staff at all levels across the organization

  • Exceptional communication skills; demonstrated ability to write, listen and articulate in a clear, concise and professional manner 

  • High fluency in Microsoft Office product suite, specifically Excel, Outlook and PPT

  • Strong math skills

  • Basic graphic editing and optimization skills: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

  • Some automotive industry experience a plus
