Property & Facilities Maintenance Technician - Full-Time


We are looking for a career minded leader in the maintenance field to grow with our expanding team of successful dealerships.  The new position of Property and Faciltiies Maintenance Technician will allow you room to use your years of experience in the field to coordinate the maintenance and upkeep of all of our Hertrichs Family of Dealerships while streamlining processes, purchasing, and fine-tuning scheduling for our dedicated staff of maintenance professionals.

Duties:  Job duties include but are not limited to


  • Perform minor electrical maintenance such as replacement of fixtures, wall switches, outlets, incandescent and flourescent bulbs, tubes, ballast, etc.

  • Oversee and occassionally perform janitorial responsibilities.

  • Perform minor plumbing maintenance, such as repairs of leaks, unclogging of drains, faucet replacement.

  • Perform minor carpentry repairs such as replacing door knobs, door closers, patching walls, interior/exterior painting when required.

  • Inspect condition of building and building mechanical and pneumatic equipment, monitor fluid levels, temperature reading, filter replacement, etc.

  • Assist troubleshooting of access control systems, building heating/cooling systems, fire detection, and protection systems.

  • Assemble, move, and/or install modular office furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, file cabinets, etc.

  • Order and maintain necessary supplies and equipment proper inventory.

  • Assist in lawn care and snow removal.

  • Oversee and may occasionally perform janitorial responsibilities

  • May travel from site to site.


Job Qualifications:


  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Minimum of 2 years building maintenance experience or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry.

  • Must be able to perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, some lifting (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing, or walking.

  • Must be available for a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings or Saturdays

  • Job requires travel between dealership locations (vehicle provided).

  • Must be detail oriented and have the ability to coordinate vendors or manage others.

  • Must have a current valid driver's license with minimal violations or points.
